Question 1

How does the free in-home consultation work?

Accepted Answer

We'll schedule a convenient time to visit your home with sample books and a measuring kit. Our expert will measure your windows, discuss your style preferences and light control needs, and provide a detailed quote on the spot—no obligation.

Question 2

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential projects are completed in 2-3 weeks from order confirmation. Installation typically takes 1-4 hours depending on the number of windows. We'll give you an exact timeline during your consultation.

Question 3

What's included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Our quotes include professional measurement, custom fabrication, delivery, and expert installation. No hidden fees. We also include a 5-year warranty on all products.

Question 4

Can I see samples before ordering?

Accepted Answer

Yes! During your free in-home consultation, we bring a complete sample library so you can see and feel the fabrics in your actual space and lighting conditions. You can also request fabric swatches to take home.

Question 5

Do you offer motorized and smart home options?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We specialize in motorized window treatments compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and most smart home systems. We handle the full setup and programming so you can control your shades with your voice or phone.

Question 6

What's the difference between Zebra Shades and Roller Shades?

Accepted Answer

Roller shades are a single layer of fabric that rolls up or down for a clean, minimal look. Zebra (or dual-layer) shades have alternating sheer and solid bands that you can align for privacy or offset for a soft, diffused light—giving you more precise control throughout the day.

Question 7

Are your blinds child and pet safe?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We offer cordless and motorized options on all product lines, which are the safest choice for homes with young children and pets. All cordless products meet current child safety standards.

Question 8

How do I clean my roller or zebra shades?

Accepted Answer

For routine cleaning, use a soft feather duster or the brush attachment on a vacuum at low suction. For spot cleaning, gently dab with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap—never rub. Avoid soaking the fabric. Most of our fabrics are also wipeable for easy maintenance.

Question 9

How do I care for plantation shutters?

Accepted Answer

Dust the louvers regularly with a microfiber cloth or duster. For deeper cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water. Real wood shutters should not be placed in high-humidity areas like bathrooms; use our composite shutters there instead.

Question 10

How do I maintain motorized shades?

Accepted Answer

Motorized shades require very little maintenance. Periodically wipe the fabric gently as you would a standard shade. Rechargeable battery motors typically need charging every 3–6 months depending on usage. Hardwired motors are maintenance-free. If you notice any issues, contact us and we'll dispatch a technician.

Question 11

What is your warranty policy?

Accepted Answer

All our products come with a 5-year comprehensive warranty covering manufacturing defects, hardware failures, material issues, mechanisms, controls, and brackets. Motorized components include a 5-year motor warranty. We stand behind our work and will repair or replace covered items at no cost to you.

Question 12

What does the warranty NOT cover?

Accepted Answer

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from improper use or accidents, unauthorized repairs, or environmental factors such as excessive sun fading. We recommend using UV-protective linings to extend fabric life in especially sunny rooms.

Question 13

How do I file a warranty claim?

Accepted Answer

Contact us through our website or by phone with your order details and photos of the issue. We'll review your claim and respond within 3–5 business days. Most repairs or replacements are handled within 1–2 weeks of claim approval.

Question 14

Question 15
